olpcMAP Sprint

olpcMAP Sprint by OLPC

A community event from Dec 27th-31st happening worldwide and based at OLPC's office in Cambridge. Closing out 2010 with a new event (modeled after book sprints) to map the world of Sugar and OLPC users, and to add meaning to our growing network.

This event also aims to develop our mapmaking tools so that students, teachers, and activists can share their experiences and connect with the world.

Sections on the right provide features such as Search, Connect to Volunteer, Ideas, My Neighborhood, and Profile of the Day. Each point in the map can have a separate profile page to showcase pictures, videos, stories, ideas, and expertise.

Clustering is present for collections of points within a small region, showing the number of total points in the cluster.
